Dreams Of Death

This is possibly my choice for my next painting.
In this next painting I have to draw in the style of an artist, but have my own subject matter.
Well I decided on drawing in the stlye of Chris Sanders.
After a couple of failed attempts of trying different subjects, I sat down and decided I was in the mood to watch Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy Krueger in A Nightmare On Elm Street reboot. As I began to get the movie set up to watch I decided I was going to grab my drawing paper and a pencil while I watched the movie. As soon as it started I thought, "Wait a sec!!" and thus this piece was born.
I'm not totally sure if I was going for it being Nancy or not, but I want to say its my own original character.
She was based off what Nancy looks like so that when I do the painting ppl think it is her. In reality I was trying for a young woman that might be myself.
I picked the forest opening into a graveyard because I loved the trees I saw in Sanders comics along with the graveyard. I also loved the winter coat the little girl wears in them too.
So I tried to bring some of those elements into the drawing. In the end I want to make it look like its snowing and that a fresh snow fall is on the ground. I also want it to look like their breathe is combining as they breathe in the freezing air.

I did turn this into a painting, but sadly no frost breath air, but I did get snow in it.
